Chandigarh: On the third day of the Budget session, Akali MLAs mocked at the Congress by distributing dummy smartphones among MLAs, including those of the ruling party. Setting up a stall for free distribution of the “smartphones” at the entrance of the Vidhan Sabha, former ministers Bikram Majithia and Parminder Dhindsa said the Congress had promised to give free smartphones to the youth during the 2017 Assembly elections, but it failed to do so even two years after coming to power. tns
