TARN TARAN: The Chohla Sahib police have booked four members of a family for allegedly thrashing and throwing a woman out of her house for dowry.

The Chohla Sahib police have booked four members of a family for allegedly thrashing and throwing a woman out of her house for dowry. The woman claimed that her husband and in-laws were harassing her for bringing more dowry. Komal Sharma, in her complaint to the police, said, around 10 months ago she got married to Ajaypal Singh of Tarn Taran town. ASI Jaswant Singh, Investigating Officer (IO), said, the police have booked Ajaypal Singh, his father Kanwaljit Singh, mother Simranjit Kaur and sister Manjit Kaur. The accused have been booked under Sections 498-A, 506 and 120-B of the IPC.
