Four bike-borne persons snatched the purse from a woman at Haibowal Kalan last evening.

In her complaint, Raj Rani of Issa Nagari has stated that she was going to meet her relatives when snatchers, who were riding a bike, came from behind and snatched her purse near Sangam Palace, Haibowal. She raised the alarm but the snatchers escaped.

She said the purse contained Rs 1,000, her Aadhaar card and other important documents. A case under Section 379-B and 34 of the IPC has been registered at the Haibowal police station.

Meanwhile, the Division Number 5 police registered a case against unidentified persons for snatching a bag from Phaleswar Parsad of Star Colony, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, near Middha Chowk on April 17. In his complaint, he has stated that the bag contained Rs 47, 000. The victim, who is salesman-cum-cashier, told the police that he was on the way to a gas agency when the snatchers targeted him.
