Nurpur, August 20

Former Jawali MLA Neeraj Bharti, who is known for posting objectionable comments on the social media against senior BJP leaders, on Monday came under attack for saying objectinable things about late PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Activists of the local BJP mandal, led by mandal president Uttam Chand, lodged a complaint against Bharti.

Before filing the complaint, the BJP mandal, in the presence of local MLA Arjun Singh, also convened an emergency meeting, condemning Bharti’s act.

State Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha president Vishal Chohan said the activists would burn an effigy of Bharti at the district headquarters on Tuesday.

When contacted, Bharti said why the BJP leadership remained silent when the party activists posted objectionable comments against senior Congress leaders. — OC
