To raise the issue of environment and bring about awareness, a club in Greater Noida with more than 100 members avoids using motor vehicles on Saturdays and Sundays. Instead, they all go cycling.

Greno Cycling Club founder Ashok Mishra said he started the club in 2016 with only four members.

“In the initial days, we had to arrange cycles for the people but now every member of our club owns a cycle,” he said.

For security of women riders and for general safety, a car also trails behind the cyclists.
