Five injured in Chamba car mishap

DALHOUSIE: Five persons were injured when their car rolled about 60-metre down the hillside near Jandrah on the Chamba-Pathankot national highway last evening.

Five persons were injured when their car rolled about 60-metre down the hillside near Jandrah on the Chamba-Pathankot national highway last evening.

On receiving the information, a police team from the Bakloh police post rushed to the spot and supervised the relief and rescue operation.

Of the five injured, three were sent to Pathankot and two were admitted to Swami Shri Hari Giri Hospital-cum-Research Centre, Kakira, for treatment, the police said.

They stated that a case of rash and negligent driving had been registered against driver Shivam Kumar under Sections 279, 337 of the IPC for further action.— OC
