A lecture on “startup funding and marketing strategy” was delivered by Satyendra Chaudhary, financial manager at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, today at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU).
He discussed the importance of funds for a start-up and how much cash was needed to start a business. He explained students in detail the cash flow and type of activities affected cash flow. He also explained different stages of funding such as bootstrapping, seed funding, angel investor, venture capital and series funding. He also informed aspiring entrepreneurs about various funding schemes for startups launched by the government to promote entrepreneurship.
TS Riar, associate director, Skill Development Centre, PAU, interacted with participants and provided them tips on better communication skills and confidence building to pitch their ideas to investors and bussinesmen.
