Shimla, February 5
The state Assembly on Tuesday passed the first and the final instalment of grants for 2018-19 amounting to Rs 3,142.65 crore and also adopted the Appropriation Bill.
A sum of Rs 18.98 crore has been earmarked for clearing pending liabilities of the previous Assembly poll and expenditure on the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. Under the non-plan expenditure, a sum of Rs 1,438.70 crore has been provided for the repayment of ways and means advance, Rs 144 crore for payment of energy charges enhanced compensation for land acquired by Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam and Rs 98.91 crore for giving subsidy to domestic power consumers.
