PANCHKULA: The Kalka police have booked father-son duo for assaulting a man, identified as Mohit Kumar, a resident of Balmiki Temple, in broad daylight.

The Kalka police have booked father-son duo for assaulting a man, identified as Mohit Kumar, a resident of Balmiki Temple, in broad daylight. The two suspects have been identified as Ravinder Kumar and his son Gaggi, both residents of Railway Colony, Kalka.

In his complaint to the police Mohit Kumar stated that he was sleeping at his house on June 17 when at about 12.30 pm there was a knock at the door. He said when he opened the door the two suspects armed with iron rods attacked him on his head and he fell down.

Mohit said when he raised an alarm his neighbours came to his rescue and the two suspects managed to flee from the spot. The two suspects also threatened to eliminate Mohit whenever they found him. A case was registered at the Kalka police station against the two suspects under Sections 323, 506 and 34, IPC, and investigation was on. — TNS
