Srinagar, March 29

National Conference (NC) leader and former bureaucrat Farooq Shah on Friday urged people to vote for his party in the Lok Sabha poll. He said sending representatives of “the state’s strongest regional party” (to Parliament) was the need of the hour.

Shah, who spoke to mediapersons at a party function in the Tangmarg constituency, urged people to send candidates of the NC to Parliament.

“Only the NC has the political will to bring mega development in the state…the three NC candidates for the LS poll are experienced and renowned,” Shah, the NC candidate for the Gulmarg constituency, said.

A former senior bureaucrat who quit IAS to join politics, Shah said his party “will pull the state out of the current crises and will take people to prosperity and progress”.

He said the people of the north Kashmir Assembly constituency had been deprived of basic amenities from the past more than a decade and vowed to make Gulmarg a prosperous area.
