Expert gives tips on entrepreneurship skills

University Business School (UBS), Panjab University Regional Centre, organised a ‘Youth Entrepreneurship Symposium’ today to inspire the students of MBA to be entrepreneur of tomorrow.

The symposium was in the form of four sessions, wherein each session had a young entrepreneur as speaker to interact with the students. Ravi Singh, Director, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana, welcomed the guests. He apprised the audience of the purpose of organising the symposium. He said the purpose of the symposium was to provide a platform from where students may get motivated with success stories of young entrepreneur and get the ideas for creating their own startups.

In the first session, Arsh Narula, Founder and CEO, Hum Hain, interacted with the students on the topic “Why to be an Original Thinker.” He advised the students to identify their passion and work for the same.

Heena Nagi, owner, Heena Nagi Make Artistry, was the speaker for the second session, in which topic of discussion was “How to Build a Customer Base Online.” During her interaction, she shared that how she started from her family venture and later established her own business with the brand name Heena Nagi Makeup Artistry. She spoke about different online/ social media strategies being adopted by her for expanding customer base for her business. In addition to this, she gave tips to the students for grooming themselves while appearing for an interview.

Naveen Bhansali and Chandan Preet Singh, Founder and Director, Encore Shipping Gurgaon were the speaker for the third session. Topic of discussion in this session was “How to Think Like an Entrepreneur.” Sharing their own story of staring their job to establishing their own shipping company they emphasised to take risk in order to be successful in life.

Whereas in the fourth session, Akhil Gupta, trainer in the entrepreneurship development deliberated on the topic “Being an Entrepreneur.” During his interaction, he highlighted various qualities that one should possess for being a successful entrepreneur.
