Ex-mayors seek action against BJP leaders

Former Congress mayors have demanded strict action against the BJP leaders for their involvement in a case regarding irregularities in installation of gym equipment in community centres.

Former mayors Subhash Chawla, Surinder Singh, Lalit Joshi, Kamlesh, Gurcharan Das Kala and Harphool Kalyan alleged that whenever the BJP came into power in the Chandigarh MC, corruption cases came up and the CBI raided. “The CBI should act against the culprits at the earliest without any pressure. People have now learnt that many leaders of the BJP have made the corporation the main base of corruption,” alleged the Congress. — TNS
