Solan, April 22

Former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said the Congress will bag all four Lok Sabha seats in the state as the Narendra Modi-led union government had disillusioned the masses by failing to fulfill its poll promises. He addressed twin rallies at Nalagarh and Baddi today.

Singh said the Modi government was merely appeasing the big corporate houses and it had finished the public-sector BSNL while favouring Jio which would cause unemployment of at least 2 lakh people. He said the Modi government was a perfect example of dictatorship where only his dictate prevailed and it was a one-man show where no one dared to challenge him.

Singh also came down heavily on the BJP government for adopting pick and chose policy in implementing development works and said this was inimical to the interest of the common man.

He said the GST had benefitted the corporate while the common man suffered and it had not been implemented on the fuel prices which was unfortunate as this would slash its prices drastically and benefit the common man. —TNS
