New Delhi, April 23

AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal today asked if the EVMs found “faulty” were the result of technical malfunctioning or they were allegedly programmed in such a way to vote in favour of the ruling BJP.

This came in the wake of several reports of alleged faulty EVMs in Goa and Kerala while the voting was underway during the third phase of the Lok Sabha polls.

On Twitter, Kejriwal said, “Absolutely shocking. All faulty EVMs deliver votes to BJP.” He was referring to the reported “faulty EVM in a booth at Kizhakke Nalpathu near Cherthala where it was replaced after it was found that all votes were getting registered to BJP”. Referring to a post of AAP Goa South candidate and state convener Elvis Gomes, Kejriwal said, “Faulty EVM in Goa also transfers others’ votes to BJP. Are these really faulty or programmed in this fashion?” — TNS
