Urging the government to ensure appropriate arrangements for people during the upcoming holy month of Ramazan in the state, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president GA Mir on Wednesday hoped that the authorities will take all steps to make people comfortable.

In a statement, Mir also extended Ramzan greetings to people and prayed for their prosperity and well-being, hoping that the holy month will be the harbinger of complete peace and tranquility in the state, especially in the Valley. He urged the government to ensure supply of essentials, electricity and other facilities concerning people during the holy month and take every possible steps to make people comfortable in every respect. “Ramzan is an important month in the Islamic calendar in which people pray for day and night seeking blessing of the Almighty Allah,” Mir added. —TNS
