DSGMC scam: Court directs for seizure of documents

NEW DELHI: The City Court today directed the police to seize documents of alleged financial irregularities in DSGMC in which former president of the committee Manjit Singh GK, former joint secretary Amarjeet Singh Pappu and general manager Harjeet Singh Subedar were accused.

The City Court today directed the police to seize documents of alleged financial irregularities in DSGMC in which former president of the committee Manjit Singh GK, former joint secretary Amarjeet Singh Pappu and general manager Harjeet Singh Subedar were accused.

Metropolitan Magistrate Preeti Parewa said, “The court deems it appropriate to direct the IO to take steps under CrPC Section 91 for the seizure of the documents as mentioned in para six of the instant application by issuance of notice immediately and file compliance report within five days from today.”

The court issued this direction after the complainant, Gurmeet Singh Shanty moved an application for issuance of search warrant for seizure of documents and CCTV camera footage from office of the accused. — TNS
