The brother-in-law of Doon MLA Paramjeet Singh was killed when his tractor-trailer fell into the Mahadev Khud on the Swarghat road in Nalagarh on Tuesday.
The deceased, Baldev Chand (49), lost control of the tractor. He suffered grievous injuries. Locals came to his rescue and took him to the local hospital in Nalagarh, where doctors referred him to the PGI. He succumbed to his injuries there.
The deceased is the brother of Vidya Rattan, who is the president of the Nalagarh Truck Operators Union. He was a resident of Aaduwal village. Nalagarh DSP Anil Verma said the tractor-trailer had rolled down only a few feet and the cause of the accident was being probed. The postmortem would be conducted tomorrow. — TNS
