With over 1.5 lakh new cases every year breast cancer has taken over cervical cancer as the most common and deadly killer disease of new era. Breast cancer impacts 2.1 million women each year.
Dr Rajeshwar Singh, Director, Oncology and Dr Rajan Sahu, Senior Consultant Surgical Oncology, at a private hospital, shared the concern in an interaction with the media today. Dr Rajan Sahu said breast cancer accounted for 27 per cent of all cancers among females in India.
