Doctors discuss latest advances in stroke management

The IMA Ludhiana organised a CME on the management of stroke. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Civil Surgeon, Ludhiana, was the chief guest of the event. He was accompanied by Dr Balwinder Singh, ACS, and Dr SP Singh, DFPO.

Dr Manoj Sobti, a member of the Punjab Medical Council, welcomed the chief guest on behalf of the IMA Ludhiana.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bagga appreciated the efforts of the IMA Ludhiana in organising the CME to update its members.

He urged the members to participate in various national programmes such as RNCTP and PCPNDT.

He also assured the members that the district health administration would help the doctors in time of need.

Dr Jeyraj Pandian, Head of Neurology Department, CMC Hospital, Ludhiana, discussed various modalities of stroke management. He stressed upon the initiation of thrombolytic therapy within four-and-a-half hours.

Dr Anirudh Kulkarni, Assistant Professor Neurology Department, CMC Hospital, Ludhiana, discussed the latest advances in the management of stroke with endovascular technique.

Dr Navdeep Singh, SPS Hospital, gave tips on early detection of cancer.
