Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh chaired a meeting to review the functioning of the Jammu Police Hospital at the city headquarters on Wednesday.
At the meeting, the DGP sought a report from Medical Superintendent, Police Hospital, Dr Kirti Bhushan Sharma regarding the functioning of various units of the hospital and the availability of facilities. Dr Sharma briefed the meeting about the working of the hospital. He apprised the DGP of the work done by the hospital in the field of surgery and medicine.
The DGP directed the officers to identify the areas where improvements were needed. He said we should be in a mission mode to tackle the issues of the hospital and impressed for the availability of quality medicines.
Singh further impressed upon the officers to make sure that supplies were provided to the hospital for police personnel and their families.
He directed to take up the upgrade, including creation of a labour room and facelift of the hospital building. He said facilities in medicines and machinery should be enhanced for the healthcare of police personnel and their families.
