The house of a dentist Avninder Singh Sangha was reportedly burgled at Urban Estate locality on Saturday night. Dr Narinderjit Singh, father-in-law of the victim, told the police that the burglars decamped with Rs 3 lakh, four laptops, four wrist watches, one gold chain and one gold karrah. The police have registered a case under Sections 380, 381 and 457 of the IPC. The family was away from home at the time of incident.

Dr Sangha had engaged a new servant Karam Singh, a resident of Nepal on September 11. The SI told that after watching the CCTV footage the police found four other Nepalis entering the house and Karam Singh decamped with valuables along with them. — OC
