Dalit voters attacked in Rewari village

Rewari: Two women and a man belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) were injured when people belonging to upper castes allegedly attacked them with iron rods at Nangal Teju village here on Sunday.

Rewari: Two women and a man belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) were injured when people belonging to upper castes allegedly attacked them with iron rods at Nangal Teju village here on Sunday. The injured have been admitted to the trauma centre in Rewari where their condition is stated to be out of danger. Election enmity is stated to be the reason behind the attack. Though the police have started investigation, no case has been registered so far. Yashwant in his complaint said that some people belonging to upper castes had asked them to vote in favour of a particular party on Sunday but they cast their votes as per their wish. tns
