CU student dies as car hits bike

Saurabh, a student of Chandigarh University (CU), Gharuan, was killed after a car reportedly hit his bike near Roorki Pukta village on the Kharar-Morinda road last evening. 

In his complaint to the police, Dalbir Singh of Salempur in Kaithal district stated that his younger son Saurabh, a BSc (Non-Medical) final-year student at the CU, was riding his motorcycle when a Swift car knocked him down. He was injured and taken to the Civil Hospital, Kharar, from where he was referred to the PGI, but he died on the way. The car driver escaped from the spot. 

A case has been registered under Sections 279, 427 and 304 A of the IPC against the unidentified driver of the car (DL 03 CBM 8958). — OC
