CTU students, faculty to be trained by expert interior designers

LUDHIANA: CT University (CTU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID), a nationwide organisation for the profession of interior design.

CT University (CTU) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID), a nationwide organisation for the profession of interior design. It works to consolidate and expand the contribution of the interior designing towards improving the quality of life in contemporary and future societies by sharing of knowledge, experience and understanding.

CTU has established School of Design and Innovation for which the MoU was signed. Elaborating about the benefits of the MoU, Geetanjali Kapoor, Head of School said the students would be studying the practical-oriented syllabus by IIID and will get a chance to be a part of workshops conducted by IIID.

Pratap Jadhav stated that the benefits were not just limited to CTU students, but would also be extended to faculty members. The IIID will provide faculty training to a minimum two of the teachers twice in a year and faculty will also get updates and online training from time to time by the learned members of IIID.

Managing Director Manbir Singh congratulated the members and said this collaboration would help in elevating the standards of interior design education.
