65-yr-old murdered in Sonepat village

Sonepat: Balbir Singh Malik (65) of Bhainswal Kalan village in the district was reportedly dragged out of his house and murdered on Monday night. The villagers fled after the crime. After getting information, staff from the Gohana Sadar police station reached the village. The bullet-riddled body was sent to the BPS Government Women Medical College in Khanpur Kalan for postmortem examination. Man held for firing at his father, son

Sonepat: The police have arrested Rajinder of Bali Kutubpur village in the district for allegedly firing at his father Ram Pal and son Anil on Monday. The police seized the licensed pistol and a magazine with 23 cartridges. Anil stated that land dispute was the reason for the attack. Infant’s body found in Karnal village

Karnal: The police on Tuesday found the decomposed body of an infant girl from an augmentation canal near Unchasamana village. The police have kept the body in mortuary for 72 hours for identification. The body was wrapped in a cloth, said Tarsem Singh, SHO, Madhuban. He said the reason behind the death and the age of the infant would be known after postmortem examination. TNS
