‘Creative Adda’, a place carved out in the basement of a private restaurant is proving to be a hub of budding artists. The place is dwelled into a creative spot for all the talented youths in the city. It has become a platform for the young talented poets, comedians and shayars.

To add more light to the charm of ‘Creative Adda’, artists from Delhi and Mumbai were invited to make the budding poets in the city aware of variations they could introduce into their poetry. It would help them polish their skills and establish themselves as great poets.

Sweta Singh, a Delhi-based poet said, “The life of artists is very tough and the attainment of heights in life comes with lots of struggle.” Expressing her gratitude while spending time with the city’s audience, she said, “Ye khusboo tumhari jidhar paungi, hun main titli wahin pe thehar jaungi.”

Adding more enthusiasm to the gathering where dozens of youths from different parts of the region had assembled to present their creativity in musical instruments and poetry, Bikram Bhumrah, a young established poet from Amritsar talked about the importance of reading more and more literature. Having an experience of performing in various poetry clubs of Mumbai, such as Spill Poetry Club and Unerased poetry Club, he said budding poets should focus more and more on reading.

To be a good poet, he said one should incorporate the habit of reading. It not only sharpens creativity, but also brings discipline in an artist’s life.
