The main attractions of the course are personality development, swimming, first-aid, mock aircraft training, inflight training etc.

Eligibility: Minimum qualification is Class XII from any stream from any recognised board. This course is planned to cover all aspects of grooming the candidate’s skills  and personality.

NEET exam 

National Testing Agency announces NEET 2019 exam dates. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be organised by the NTA (National Testing Agency) twice a year. The only national level medical entrance exam invites applications for entrance exams to be held in February and May, 2019. 

Eligibility: Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years. The maximum age limit will be 25 years. 

  • Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs) & foreign nationals are eligible to apply for NEET UG. Candidates who belong to J&K state will be eligible to apply for 15 per cent of All India Quota on the basis of self-declaration.
  • Candidate must have passed  physics, chemistry, biology/ bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50 per cent marks taken together in physics, chemistry and biology/ bio-technology in the qualifying examination.
  • Those who are appearing in Class XII exam in 2019 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally, subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

How to apply: Only online. 

Application fee for General/ OBC Candidates: Rs 1,400 

  • For SC/ST/PH candidates: Rs 750 
  • Fee payment can be done through credit/debit card, net banking, UPI and e-wallet. Service tax will also be applicable.

Deadline: For the test in February: October 31, 2018

For the test in May: Second week of April 2019

PhD admissions 

University of Hyderabad invites application from candidates committed to excellence in research to apply for PhD programmes in various schools/ departments and centres in the January 2018 Session. PhD programmes are offered in the following subjects: Statistics, physics, earth and space sciences, chemistry, plant science, animal biology, biotechnology, English, Sanskrit studies, English language studies, regional studies economics, dance, management studies, health science – optometry & vision science, nursing, psychology, cognitive science, materials engineering.

Eligibility: The eligibility of candidates will be determined on the basis of percentage equivalent to the letter grade/ CGPA obtained according to the conversion formula adopted by the university concerned. In the absence of any such formula, the decision of the university shall be final and binding on the candidates

Gate entrance 

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering invites applications from candidates who are seeking admission in M Tech/ ME/ PhD programmes in IITs, IISERs, IISc and other known institutes of India. 

Eligibility: The candidates should be of Indian nationality. Candidates belonging to Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates will also be eligible for GATE 2019.

  • Bachelor’s degree holders in engineering/technology and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
  • Bachelor’s degree holders in architecture and those who are in the final year.
  • Bachelor’s degree holders of four-year programme in science (B.S.) and those in the final year. 
  • Master’s degree holders in any branch of science/ mathematics/ statistics/ computer applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programmes.
