Former state president of HPCC and ex- MLA of Mullana, Phool Chand Mullana, has criticised Chief Minister Manohar Lal for his Ashirwad Yatra and said, while several areas had been facing flood-like situations, the Chief Minister had been taking out a yatra for political mileage.

The former MLA said, “The Chief Minister was talking about the development work but the projects, including a mini secretariat and the CHC that he mentioned were sanctioned during my tenure. People of Mullana were facing flood-like situation while the Chief Minister  was busy with his Ashirwad Yatra.

It tells how serious the BJP and the Chief Minister  are about the plight of the people in the region who have been ravaged by floods.”

Similarly, former Naraingarh MLA Ram Kishan Gujjar has also slammed the CM for this dynastic politics remarks in Naraingarh.

Congress leader Dharamvir Dhindsa said “The BJP has been misusing the hard-earned money of taxpayers for its campaigning. It must be stopped.”

Meanwhile, the yatra has also brought differences in the BJP unit of Naraingarh to the fore.

On the condition of anonymity, a BJP leader said, “Before the CM’s Yatra in Naraingarh, the posters and hoardings of Congress and majority of the local BJP workers were removed by the Municipal Committee and then the hoarding’s of BJP Kurukshetra MP Nayab’s wife were found to be installed which was unfortunate. However, later the hoardings were again installed by the party workers.”
