Shimla, February 15

The state disciplinary committee of the Congress met here today under the chairmanship of AN Vidyarthi, to take a fall on the fate of those seeking re-entry into the party.

The committee which held its meeting at the Congress office here today, took up 189 applications received so far. Sources said that each case was discussed based on the merits of the individuals. The committee will submit its report to the state party president Kuldeep Rathore.

The committee, however, did not discuss the case of those party leaders who had contested the Vidhan Sabha elections against the party’s official nominees. This decision will now be taken by the four-member committee headed by Gurkirat Kotli, AICC secretary, who is co-incharge of Himhal Congress. The other members of the committee are Vidya Stokes, GS Bali and Kaul Singh Thakur. — TNS
