Chandigarh, June 9

Senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala wants the Khattar government to announce the detailed marks for the written examinations and interviews for the government recruitment during the past five years.

Surjewala said it was a matter of concern that the government was not following the directions of the Punjab and Haryana High Court (22 May, 2014) according to which, the state government had to upload the details of the written examination and interview for all public recruitment. “The uploading of details will expose the fake claims of the government with regard to the fair selections and recruitment,” he added.

Accusing the state government of interrupting fair investigations and trying to save the highly-placed culprits in the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) cash-for-job scam, Surjewala said the government was ordered by the Panchkula District Court on December 4, 2018, to complete the inquiry in two months, but the investigation had been pending for the past seven months. He said similarly, the state government avoided a CBI probe into the case by giving an undertaking even after the Punjab and Haryana High Court issued an order in this regard on January 23, 2019.
