Kangra, October 30

Congress MLA from Kangra Pawan Kajal today slammed the Jai Ram Thakur government for shifting offices from Kangra district to Mandi and for “discriminating” on the developmental front with Kangra.

Kajal was addressing mediapersons here today. He said the office of the chief engineer of the IPH Department was being shifted from Nurpur subdivision of Kangra district to Mandi when works on different projects were in progress. He termed the move as “anti-people”.

Kajal asked the Chief Minister as to why the office was being shifted to Mandi when it was functioning efficiently in Nurpur division. He alleged the only reason for shifting the office was that it had been opened by Virbhadra Singh under a Congress government. — OC
