HPCC chief Kuldeep Singh Rathore on Thursday demanded that the relief compensation to the family of Pulwama martyr Tilak Raj be enhanced from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 1 crore, as had been done by Punjab and Madhya Pradesh governments for martyrs of their states.
Kewal Singh Pathania, HPCC’s spokesman and general secretary, said Rathore, former MP Prof Chaudhary Chander Kumar, former MLA Ajay Mahajan, Block Congress Committee treasurer Karan Pathania and other party dignitaries had visited the family of Tilak Raj at Jhandroh village and expressed their condolences.
Rathore also assured the martyr’s parents, his wife and children of all possible help. The HPCC chief also demanded that the martyr’s parents be brought under the purview of monthly pension so that they could lead a respectable life.
