Cong protests against Hindu Mahasabha

Chandigarh, February 4

Congress workers on Monday protested against the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha whose members aimed a pistol at the effigy of Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary on January 30.

Former Union Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said the message of Mahatma Gandhi was a source of continuous life force, which would live for centuries.

He said the incident had slaughtered the religious values in the country.

On the one hand, they propagated the idea of the Father of The Nation, while on the other, they murdered those ideas, he said.

Congress president Pradeep Chhabra also condemned the action of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha. Subhash Chawla, DD Jindal, Davinder Babla, Mohamad Sadiq, Harmohinder Lucky, Anita Sharma, Ajay Joshi, Harmel Kesari, Gurpreet Gabi, Bhajan Kaur, Ahmed Ali, Ajay Sharma, Vinod Sharma and Rajiv Moudgil were also present on the occasion. — TNS
