Complete school renovation work by March 31: Minister

Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma has said renovation work in all government schools of the state should be completed before March 31, 2019. He also directed the officials concerned to expedite the construction work of toilets in schools, wherever required.

Sharma was presiding over a review meeting with senior officials of the Education Department here on Thursday.

The Education Minister said teachers had been directed that the schools should be upgraded, as per requirement, as soon as possible. He directed the officials to review the demands of computer teachers appointed in schools on contractual basis.

Those present at the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary (School Education) PK Das, Director General (Secondary Education) Rakesh Gupta and Director (Elementary Education) DK Behera.
