Kapurthala, February 12

Jalandhar Additional Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal said today that global players would offer around 5,500 jobs to unemployed youth during job fairs on February 15 and 21 at CT Institute and DAVIET, respectively.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner, who visited the Shahpur campus of the institute today to review the arrangements for the event on February 15, said the job fairs being organised by the state government on February 15 on the Shahpur campus of CT Institute and on February 21 at DAVIET would ensure that youth become self-reliant by opening new vistas of employment for them.

He said leading entrepreneurs from across the globe would participate in the mega job fairs and provide job opportunities to around 5,500 unemployed youth in the region.

Jorwal said the fairs were being organised under the Ghar Ghar Rozgar mission of the state government. The Additional Deputy Commissioner said these fairs would pave the way for realising the dream of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to provide job to every unemployed youth of the state.

He said the youth must avail maximum benefit of the fairs, which would be instrumental in opening new avenues of employment for them. The fairs aim at making the youth an active partner in socio-economic growth of the state by offering employment opportunities. — TNS
