Artistes from more than 20 countries are taking part in the three-day carnival at Chandigarh University (CU). The carnival which is being organised for the first time in India.
Dressed up in traditional dresses, folk artistes from China, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Russia, Slovakia, Thailand, Bulgaria, Singapore, Poland, Nepal, Indonesia, Bhutan, South Africa, Ukraine participated in the cultural procession showcasing the traditional values and culture of their respective countries. Nirvan Singh, social media strategist for the Punjab Government, was the chief guest, along with Milan Hovorka, Ambassador, Czech Republic.
The cultural procession was flagged off by Dr Pankaj Mittal, Secretary General, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and Dr Baljeet Singh Sekhon, Joint Secretary, AIU.
