Awareness talk held

LUDHIANA: An awareness talk on the topic ''Cleaning the buddha darya'' was organised today in the campus of D D Jain College of Education, Ludhiana. Surinder Kaur and Jatinder Manchanda, CEOs of Sambhav Foundation, were the chief guests on the occasion.

LUDHIANA: An awareness talk on the topic 'Cleaning the buddha darya' was organised today in the campus of D D Jain College of Education, Ludhiana. Surinder Kaur and Jatinder Manchanda, CEOs of Sambhav Foundation, were the chief guests on the occasion. Surinder Kaur has been voluntarily working day in and day out with the dream of changing Buddha Nullah to Buddha Dariya that flows upto the distance of 15 km from Ludhiana city before draining into Sutlej River. She motivated all present on the occasion for stop throwing industrial effluents, untreated sewage, dairy and solid waste to be dumped into the nullah and promised all that within the period of two years the nullah would soon be a Dariya. Jatinder Manchanda inspired all with his motivational speech to participate in this drive and to participate in the forthcoming mela as on January 27. 

11 students clear NET

Students of Government College for Girls brought laurels to the college by clearing National Eligibility Test conducted by NTA. A total of 11 students of M Com- II cleared NET Exam in the first attempt. Anudeep Kaur Grewal cleared NET along with JRF, Whereas, Sakshi Bansal , Khushboo Jain, Prabhleen Kaur, Ishvinder Kaur, Pavnnet Kaur, Manasvi , Jasmeen Kaur, Vibha Jain, Kulvinder Kaur and Deeksha Sharma cleared NET. Savita Sharma, Principal GCG, Ludhiana, congratulated the students and lauded the efforts of the teachers of the Department of Commerce for their accomplishment. TNS
