Industrial visit organised

Ludhiana: The Training and Placement Cell and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Student’s Chapter of the Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT) organised an industrial visit for BCom (Honours) first year students to Eastman Impex Ludhiana.

Ludhiana: The Training and Placement Cell and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Student’s Chapter of the Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GNIMT) organised an industrial visit for BCom (Honours) first year students to Eastman Impex Ludhiana. Engineer Shilpa Miglani Narang, training and placement coordinator of the institute accompanied the students. Gopinder Singh, CEO, Eastman Impex, interacted with students and explained them about the manufacturing process. Students also visited JVR Forgings Limited, another unit of Eastman Impex which serves sectors, including automotive, construction and railways around the globe and has a network of customers in more than 70 countries. 

KCW girls outshine 

Students of the Khalsa College for Girls, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, once again proved their mettle in MSc (maths) second semester exams conducted by the Panjab University. Cheshtha Goyal ranked first in the college with 92.6 per cent, Manpreet Kaur stood second by obtaining 90.8 per cent and Jasleen Kaur obtained third rank. 

Poetry contest held

The Master Tara Singh Memorial College organised a competition of Hindi poetry on the occasion of Independence Day. In self-composed poems category, Shivani, Raveena and Kajal stood first, second and third, respectively. In Hindi poetry recitation, Neha ranked first, Kavita and Shimpi stood second whereas Nimrata ranked third. — TNS
