Ludhiana: An awareness rally on the theme ‘Clean City, Green City, My Dream City’ was organised by the Eco Club and Cleanliness Committee of Arya College. The students participated in the rally enthusiastically and displayed posters and banners to convey the message among the community. Principal Savita Uppal flagged off the rally and appreciated the efforts of youngsters in paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by promoting his idea of cleanliness. 

Students visit old-age home

A visit to Swami Vivekanand Varidh Ashram and Sai Dham was organised by the Department of Event Management in Devki Devi Jain Memorial College for Women. Students began their excursion by visiting Sai Dham. In the ashram, students spent quality time with the inmates of the ashram and offered them gifts and eatables. Students also collected different shades of wisdom and knowledge. They pledged to give love, care and attention to their elders.

Tailor it yourself: Season 3

The students of Fashion Design Department of Punjab College of Technical Education Group of Institutes organised an exhibition-cum-sale titled 'Tailor it Yourself- Season 3' where around 100 students participated in the event and showcased a variety of products made by them. The chief guest for the occasion was Sonu Gandhi, a renowned designer and image consultant. The students came up with creative and innovative products which included Victorian and Scottish theme based winter skirts, old denims were used make skirts, bags and kits, etc. TNS
