The title track for the first ever biopic on Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, being created by city-based artistes Harinder Sohal and Arvinder Chamak, is complete and the duo sound high on nationalist spirit in tone with the flavour of the film. The song titled Vandanam Abhinandanam (welcome Abhinandan) has been recorded in Hindi along with other version that has been recorded in Tamil. The lyrics have been written by Chamak and vocals Harinder Sohal, who is a popular composer in Punjabi cinema.

“In harmony with the tome of the film based on a national hero, the music for the film too has been kept patriotic with reverence towards the country and the selfless service of the personnel from armed forces. The song has a energetic, catchy tune to instill ‘josh’,” said Sohal. Ever since Wing Commander Abhinandan became a face of standoff between two nations, the country has been fascinated by the hero, who was captured and managed to return safely to his country.

“His grit, courage under pressure and his determination are all reflected through the song. Since a short film doesn’t give you much room to experiment with music or songs, the one track will justify its presence,” said Harinder.

The film is being helmed by Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner filmmaker PC Aditya and will be made in a short feature format.
