Three persons, including two Chinese engineers, were killed after a boiler burst in a biotechnology factory in Rozka Meo on Sunday evening.

The two foreign nationals have identified as senior engineer Jin Jin and production engineer Zangyang. They were supervising local worker Vicky who was welding the boiler when there was a blast. The trio died on spot while it took five fire tenders to control the blaze within an hour.

Vicky hailed from Dhaula village and his family has moved to police seeking action against the factory owners for sheer negligence.

“The regular safety audits are carried to ensure all machinery is

safe for workers. The workers tell us that the blast took place as soon as Vicky touched the boiler. This has happened due to negligence of the management and they should be punished,” said Vicky’s relative.

The Mewat police immediately reached the spot and sent charred bodies for postmortem. The police till filling of report were yet to file a FIR and getting the passport details of the two engineers.

“We have received the complaint and acting on same. We are

looking for the details of foreign nationals and would proceed as per law,” said Mewat SP Sangeeta Kalia.
