The Special CBI Court will hear the final arguments in journalist Chhatrapati murder case against main accused Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh on December 20.

CBI counsel HPS Verma said that the arguments were on the final stage and the court could pronounce the judgment in the case anytime. He added that the court had now listed the case for December 20 for the final arguments from the prosecution as well as the defence counsel.

Ram Rahim, who is serving life imprisonment in a rape case, attended the court through video conferencing while other accused were present in person.

Chhatrapati was shot at in Sirsa in October 2002 after his newspaper ‘’Poora Sach’’ published an anonymous letter narrating how women were being sexually exploited by the sect head at the dera. He later succumbed to his injuries.
