Om Prakash Chautala, INLD supremo and former Chief Minister, today visited Kohla village in the district to meet the family of Pankaj Sangwan (22), Airman in the Indian Air Force who was onboard the ill-fated AN-32 transport airplane which went missing on Monday in Arunachal Pradesh.
While interacting with the family members and other villagers, he said that he would urge the Defence Minister to speed up the search operation. He remarked that martyrs were not getting due honour under this worthless (nalayak) government.
According to family members, Pankaj joined IAF in July 2015 as Airman and after his training in Bengaluru, he got his first posting at Jorhat Air Force station in Assam. After celebrating Holi in the village, he had returned to duty in March.
