Anandpur Sahib, January 14

Anandpur Sahib MP Prem Singh Chandumajra on Monday launched a 15-day programme to present a report card of his performance before the electorate in nine Assembly segments of his parliamentary constituency.

The programme, “Sewadar Tuhade Dwar: Hisab Lao, Jawab Lao”, will be held in two phases and conclude at Chamkaur Sahib on January 30.

The MP interacted with SAD and BJP workers at Anandpur Sahib and Bindrakh village near Ropar.

Listing out his achievements, SAD leader Chandumajra said he was able to get Anandpur Sahib connected with Amritsar by rail and Chandigarh with Nanded by air. “The airport at Nanded Sahib had been shut down. It was because of my efforts that flights have resumed,” he claimed.

He further said 18 railway underbridges, including the one near Gurdwara Parivar Vichhora, were constructed during his tenure. “Ropar, Mohali and Nawanshahr residents have been included under the piped natural gas scheme.”

His other achievements, he said, was strengthening the power infrastructure in Ropar, Nawanshahr and Mohali districts, and releasing funds for the Bhanupali-Bilaspur railway line and Virasat-e-Khalsa.

Chandumajra added about 500 km of national highways were added to his constituency in the past four-and-a-half years.
