The board examinations of various classes are fast approaching and with this, anxiety levels of students and parents have reached an all time high.

School managements are holding lectures for students, parents and faculty members to take the exams in a calm way. To make things easy, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued important guidelines.

The CBSE has asked parents to make sure that their ward reaches well in time before 9:45 am. The child should also be in proper uniform having school ID, admit card and permitted items. He or she must not carry any mobile or purse. They should be told to maintain discipline in the exam room and must read the instructions on question paper and answer book. Parents have been requested that they must not block entry of the exam centre.

Principal Nankana Sahib Public School Harmeet Kaur said that CBSE has gone into minute details, giving message to one and all- the teachers, students, parents, Principals, examiners etc.

Shalini, a home-maker whose ward has to appear for Class XII board examination said she was trying hard to maintain calm and composure at home, still the atmosphere of anxiety prevails at home.

“My son remains under tremendous pressure. He sleeps just for 3-4 hours a day and I have sought help from psychologist too. Parents need to be a pillar of strength for wards at this testing time,” said Shalini.
