The Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) on Thursday arrested a drug inspector of the Central Drug Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) from Amritsar on the charge of corruption. At present, he is posted at its zonal office in Baddi.

It has been learnt that CBI sleuths also arrested two owners of an Amritsar-based pharmaceutical firm in the case. The incident occurred late last evening.

Karan Sachdeva, Zonal Drug Authority, said the drug inspector had come for inspection of a blood bank at a private hospital and left in the evening.
