Ludhiana, April 22

Three persons stole a car from Kitchlu Nagar in the wee hours yesterday. After they failed to start the Hyundai Verna car, they used another vehicle to tow away the car.

A resident of Kitchlu Nagar, Rahul, filed a complaint regarding his stolen car. He has stated that his car was parked outside his house. When he came to know that it was missing, he made efforts to check CCTV footage in the area.

The footage showed that the accused had towed away the car.

ASI Sukhdeep Singh said the accused had come in a white Mahindra Scorpio. A case under Section 379 of the IPC has been registered against the accused at the PAU police station, he said.

“Our efforts are on to trace the accused and they would be arrested soon. We have examined the CCTV footage,” he said.
