Candlelight march by soldiers’ kin

NEW DELHI:To commemorate the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack, the Wives’ Welfare Association of the CRPF, Greater Noida, organised a candle march from Connaught Place, Rajiv Chowk Metro gate No. 1, to Jantar Mantar here on Saturday.

To commemorate the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack, the Wives’ Welfare Association of the CRPF, Greater Noida, organised a candle march from Connaught Place, Rajiv Chowk Metro gate No. 1, to Jantar Mantar here on Saturday.

More than 100 families of the CRPF personnel participated in the candle march. People from all walks of lives joined the march to express solidarity with the CRPF families.

Dr Manu Bhatnagar, wife of CRPF Director General Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, said: “It was an unfortunate and cowardly act. We want our soldiers to be more alert and do the duty with zeal as the nation supports them. Our association stands with the families of the CRPF martyr. We are bound to take care of the families of the martyrs.”        

Asha Rajora, wife if Director Inspector General CS Rajora, said: “People need to support and know how the CRPF men are sacrificing their live for the nation.” 


Cong, BJP pay homage

  • The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) and the BJP took out candlelight marches to pay homage to the CRPF personnel martyred in the Pulwama terror attack. 

  • The Bar Council of Delhi observed a two-minute silence in memory of the martyrs.
