Jalandhar: Students of Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School, village Sangal Sohal- Variana, Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar, bid farewell to the outgoing Class XII students. It was a day of mixed emotions for all present. The party began with a ceremonial welcome to the school principal Priyanka Sharma. Students presented fun-filled games— musical chair, riddles group dances, solo songs, and poems. Principal Priyanka Sharma delivered a speech. Students of Class XII extended gratitude to all. TNS

Fazal 2019

Jalandhar: Students of SSC I of HMV Collegiate Senior Secondary School organised a farewell ‘Fazal 2019’ for their seniors under the patronage of principal Ajay Sareen. School coordinator Meenakshi Syal and Dean, student council, Urvashi Mishra, welcomed the chief guest Principal Dr Ajay Sareen. The function began with the lighting of traditional lamps and recital of ‘DAV Gaan’. Students presented folk songs, ghazals, bhangra, giddha and group dances. The traditional Vidya Jyoti was handed over to juniors. The prize for best performance was given to the team ‘Punjabi Jattiyan’ and for Ghazal the prize was given to Srishti. The vote of thanks was accorded by school coordinator Meenakshi Syal. The stage was conducted by Ragini, Geetanjali and Gulfam. TNS

Lecture on stroke management

Jalandhar: The department of physiotherapy of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, organised a special lecture-cum-practical session on ‘Physiotherapy Management of Stroke’. Dr Sandeep Singh, the depatment of physiotherapy, Punjabi University, Patiala, graced the occasion as the chief guest. Principal of the college Dr Gurpinder Singh Samra and Dr Raju Sharma, HoD, the department of physiotherapy accorded a floral welcome to the chief guest. Dr Raju Sharma inaugurated the session. He threw light on the problem of stroke. Principal of the college Dr Samra congratulated Dr Raju Sharma for organising the lecture. TNS
