Soni presides over school function

Amritsar: School Education Minister OP Soni presided over the annual prize distribution function held at Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna Senior Secondary School on Sunday. DEO Salvinder Singh Samra, Principal Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna Senior Secondary School Sharnjit Kaur were among the prominent present. Feb 18 last date for NET coaching  

Amritsar: All India Service Centre for Competitive Examination (AISCCE) of Guru Nanak Dev University will begin coaching of UGE (NET) aspirants for the year 2019 as per new syllabus by the UGS recently. The coaching will start from February 25 and will be concluded on June 14. Candidates can apply on or before February 18. TNS  

NSS camp concludes 

Amritsar:The NSS unit of BBK DAV College for Women organised a valedictory function to mark the finale of seven-day NSS camp in the college premises on Tuesday. Eminent entrepreneurs from Canada, Gagan Chopra and Aashula Chopra, were the chief guests. During the function, a documentary made by multimedia department covering different activities of the seven-day camp, was shown. NSS volunteers Samiksha and Sonalpreet were awarded with the best camper and best innovator titles respectively. Certificates were awarded to the participants. Principal Dr Pushpinder Walia, while addressing the volunteers, appreciated their efforts and emphasised the need of community service. Dr VP Lakhanpal, member, LMC, congratulated the students and motivated them to provide service to community. Sudarshan Kapoor, chairman, LMC, proposed the vote of thanks and felicitated the volunteers for their tremendous efforts. TNS
